Visit to Coney Island - where nature still thrives

It was a good sunny Sunday with light sea breeze brushing past out face.

This was our first visit to a little reclaimed island located near the Punggol Promenade Punggol Point Walk.

What's await us were floral and fauna, splashing waves ...

The monkeys
Not far from the entrance were a huge group of monkeys which trailed the visitors for possible feeding, which are not encouraged.

Beaches & splashing waves
The best part of the island to admire the sea was sitting by the stairs and seeing the waves pounding and splashing against the coast.

Tall casuarina trees
There were lots of tall casuarina trees on the island with unpaved trails running through them.

Beautiful orange butterflies
There were plenty of beautiful butterflies fluttering among the blooming tiny wild flowers. However, capturing them in camera were tough - because all of them were so busy and could not keep still for a picture :/

Flowers & fruits

A small flower that resembles an orchid,

Some blue colour berries. Are they blue berries?

Track your way by feet instead of wheels, to see these details that were hidden among the foliage.

Living in an urban city of Singapore, it's fortunate that I was still abe embrace nature and enjoyed the beautiful moment with my family ...
