Visit to Coney Island - where nature still thrives

It was a good sunny Sunday with light sea breeze brushing past out face.

This was our first visit to a little reclaimed island located near the Punggol Promenade Punggol Point Walk.

What's await us were floral and fauna, splashing waves ...

The monkeys
Not far from the entrance were a huge group of monkeys which trailed the visitors for possible feeding, which are not encouraged.

Beaches & splashing waves
The best part of the island to admire the sea was sitting by the stairs and seeing the waves pounding and splashing against the coast.

Tall casuarina trees
There were lots of tall casuarina trees on the island with unpaved trails running through them.

Beautiful orange butterflies
There were plenty of beautiful butterflies fluttering among the blooming tiny wild flowers. However, capturing them in camera were tough - because all of them were so busy and could not keep still for a picture :/

Flowers & fruits

A small flower that resembles an orchid,

Some blue colour berries. Are they blue berries?

Track your way by feet instead of wheels, to see these details that were hidden among the foliage.

Living in an urban city of Singapore, it's fortunate that I was still abe embrace nature and enjoyed the beautiful moment with my family ...

A fitness gadget prize from Nestlé Singapore

After buying the Nestlé Fitnesse & Fruit cereal for about a year, I was lucky to have won this wonderful gadget - Fitbit One from Nestlé Singapore.

Fitbit One is a little gadget that helps to monitor the physical and sleeping activities of its wearer. Just clip the Fitbit One to your attire, or wear a wrist band to fasten to your wrist, then it'll start to monitor your activity level.

1. Number of steps walked;

2. Number of steps climbed;

3. The amount of calorie burnt;

4. The distance covered.

5. and the clock.

This little gadget can be easily charged using an USB charges.

The Fitbit One syn with iPhone to keep track of the wearer activity level.

The Fitbit One has a little plant which reflect the wearer's activity level. If your activity improve, the plant will grow taller.

When my activity is higher, the plant grows taller 🌻

If the wearer has friends with the same gadget, your friends can join the daily or weekend challenges with you.

Hopefully, this little gadget will not only help to monitor my activity level, but also the amount of quality sleep I'm having :)

My first culinary prize - Bluejacket Flour

I received my first set of culinary prize after joining the contest jointly held by the Facebook interest group Singapore Home Cook and the Bluejacket Flour Singapore. It's a meaningful prize to me as I could put all the flours into good bake 🍞🍰😄

These are my two entries 😆

and

Take a close look at my prize 😬
The all purpose flour and baguette flour;

the bread flour and cake flour;

and a food magazine featuring my two FB friend Patsy and her baby girl, as well as Grace Ong. I was intending to buy one, and the prize happened to include this 😄💕💕

Guess who's the first "person" to sample the flour?

Look at the bite mark on the packaging 😆

A thunderstorm evening

Today I discovered another beauty of thunderstorm- it helps to mask undesirable noise ><

My Southern Asian neighbour below my floor consistently flooded with the mother shouting and battling with her crying toddler. No exaggeration - the boys cries more than he talks :(
Although I can't understand their language, but it kind of affect my mood :(

The splattering of raindrops and roar of thunders, somehow muffled their undesirable noise. Beautiful ~
