A thunderstorm evening

Today I discovered another beauty of thunderstorm- it helps to mask undesirable noise ><

My Southern Asian neighbour below my floor consistently flooded with the mother shouting and battling with her crying toddler. No exaggeration - the boys cries more than he talks ：(

Although I can't understand their language, but it kind of affect my mood :(

The splattering of raindrops and roar of thunders, somehow muffled their undesirable noise. Beautiful ～

Hitting a 5-figure views in My blog

七月初一听潮韵

昨日是七月初一。楼下16楼又传来阵阵一整家人的潮语对话，夹杂着阵阵的嘻哈声。过去的12年来，每逢七月初一，是16楼这家人回家祭拜的日子。因为家庭成员多，便打凳子在走廊聊天。对这家子的吵杂声很厌倦，老觉得他们很自私，无顾左邻右舍感受。

这一年来，搬来几户南亚家庭。天天开大嗓门在家里、门口、走廊、还有电梯间嚷嚷。顿时间好像生活在小印度 =_=

昨天当我听到那整5、6个小时的潮语交流会，首次我不再厌恶，反而觉得有一股重温的亲切感，好温暖，好温暖(^ ^)

失去了才知道珍惜^_^

Happy Teacher's Day Card 2014

This may be our last Teacher's Day card jointly crafted by my son and I. 

I believe after my son graduating from secondary school by end of this year, our card making activity would be suspended :)

I'm glad to have found the colourful glittering foam sheets from Popular Book store which really liven up the card. 

A beautiful card to mark my son's final year as a secondary school student. And I'm glad to be part of this creation Y(^_^)Y

Cleaning kitchen fan

The kitchen fan has long over due it's scheduled cleaning date. I planned to get it clean before the lunar new year. However, it has been dragged, and dragged and dragged. I was simply too lazy to climb up the stool, to bring the dirty fan down. I hate those greasy black soot clinging tightly to the fan >:/

This afternoon when I looked up to that poor dirty fan, I said to myself, "no more delay". Unscrewing, dismantling, wiping, washing, drying and finally fixing back. I have a clean fan again :)

The fan blade starts spinning again, and it's counting down to my next cleaning ...

Striking out an item from your to-do list, is one of life's beautiful moments ...

Neo Grab Smart Phone Holder

I bought this smart phone holder through Qoo10 shopping website for S$24.90. It's a Korean product with good quality plastic.

Vacuum mounting base

The strong vacuum suction cap base allow the holder to mount to any flat surface with firm grip.

Lift up the lever, the holder can be dismounted from the table.

Push down the lever, the holder will be mounted firmly to the surface.

The ball and socket joint allow the user to change the orientation of the phone easily.

Handphone clip

The Handphone clip allows it to grib almost any size of phone. Too bad, the clip cannot fit the iphone 5, only iphone 4 in vertical postion. So, iphone5 can only be clipped side way

In conclusion, this is a good versatile handphone holder which most people will love it. It came in different colours too :)

My New L'Equip Waffle Iron

I have ordered an L'Equip waffle iron from a seller I saw on an online shop Qoo10. It cost me S$115 - quite an expensive item as compared to those normal waffle irons which cost less than S$50.

However, it is considered a good buy as it comes with many features to produce a good nice waffle:

Thick waffle

It can produce a spongy thick waffle of about 2 cm. My previous waffle maker can only bake a thin 1 cm thick waffle.

Even heating 

It produces waffle with an even golden crust.

Locking lid

The waffle iron has an automatic locking feature. You just need to turn 180 degree clockwise to lock the lid. This allows the expanding waffle to fill up all the gaps , thus producing a perfect shape waffle. It also prevent the expanding waffle from pushing up the lid and spill out.

To unlock the lid, just needs to turn 180 degree anti-clockwise.

Pour batter,

close the lid,

turn clockwise 180 degree to bake.

Crispness selection

The waffle allows the user to select the level of crispiness, from a scale of 1 to 4. 

Fast cooking time

It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to cook one waffle to level 3 of crispiness. 

Indicators lights

The Green indicator lights on both sides of the pan allow the user to observe the readiness of the waffle inside. The light goes off while cooking, and illuminated when ready. 

Easy storage

The iron can be kept in a upright position, thus minimize storage space.

 

Retractable legs

The legs can be open up and close for added stability and storage convenience.

I love this waffle iron. Now, I can have waffles any time I want :)
